Transformative Grant Will Help Restore Sarasota AIDS Memorial
After severe weather in January 2024 damaged the AIDS Memorial Garden at Church of the Trinity MCC, the future of this important site was left uncertain. Now, a $25,000 Susan Terry Foundation grant will help support plans to rebuild and rededicate the memorial for future generations.
The restored memorial is intended to honor those lost to AIDS, preserve a vital part of Sarasota’s history, and create space for remembrance, reflection, and education.
